Men and Womens Senior Coach Announcement

The Wendouree Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Ryan Wells back for the 2026/27 season!

After making a huge impact as our overseas player last summer, Ryan returns to the Red Caps in a new capacity, taking the reins as our Senior Men’s and Women’s Coach.

Wellsy quickly became a favourite around the club with his passion for the game, professionalism, and willingness to help players of all ages improve. Now, he’ll bring that same energy and experience to the field again and also to the sidelines as he leads both our senior programs into an exciting new season.

An ECB Level 2 qualified coach, Ryan has worked with county and international players, bringing a wealth of high-performance coaching experience to Wendouree. His knowledge of the game, commitment to player development, understanding of our club culture and appetite for success make him the ideal person to help drive the next chapter for our senior men’s and women’s programs.

We’re excited to have you back, Wellsy – same bloke, different role, and we can’t wait to see what the season has in store.
