The junior 'Open' competition caters for both boys and girls.  The majority of teams in this competition are 'all boys' but this is changing. 

For many years the only junior cricket around was 'boys'.  While girls could play in these competitions, many didn't feel comfortable for a variety of reasons.

Over the last 2-3 years we have had a number of girls come through our junior program and their skills have developed significantly.  Some of these girls chose to play in a mixed team and proved that they could match it with the boys.
