Turf Wicket Curator (Part Time)

Wendouree Cricket Club is one of Ballarat's most successful cricket clubs. In the upcoming 2022/23 season we will field 5 senior men's teams in the Ballarat Cricket Association.
3 of these teams will play games on turf wickets.
Under the City of Ballarat and Ballarat Cricket Association Strategic Partnership, the Wendouree Cricket Club is responsible for the wicket square and pitch preparation from handover (around mid-September) until the end of the season.
We are currently seeking an experienced Curator to prepare and maintain the cricket wicket on our main oval at CE Brown Reserve. The outfield of this reserve is currently being renovated, so the successful applicant may be required to assist with the preparation of wickets at another venue where the Wendouree Cricket Club will play 'home' games until our main ground is ready for scheduled matches to resume.
This role is expected to require a commitment of around 20-24 hours per week from mid-September to the end of March. The facilities at CE Brown Resrve are some of the best in Ballarat.
This is a paid position which could suit someone either seeking additional work to their full-time job in a similar field, OR perhaps someone who is retired and seeking an extra income and activity.
To be considered you must have some previous experience in wicket preparation, possess a demonstrated pride in your work and a commitment to achieving the highest standards.
If you are interested in exploring this opportunity further, please contact Max Drew on 0419 513 926 or email the club at info@redcaps.com.au
